Graphite alloy
Graphalloy is the trademark for a group of metal-impregnated graphite materials. The materials are commonly used for self-lubricating plain bearings or electrical contacts. They are proprietary materials owned by the Graphite Metallizing Corp. based in Yonkers, New York, USA. WebApr 5, 2016 · The well-edged graphite crystals were formed from atoms in molten metallic aluminum; therefore, they are well wetted and do not crumble when rolling and polishing. The presence of aluminum carbide in the spectra is typically defined by the appearance of the Raman peak around 850 cm −1 that is assigned to aluminum carbide (Al 4 C 3) [29].
