How much polyfill for speakers

Each box is roughly 3.3 cubic ft. in volume. I've set the crossover settings for my Atmos speakers to 80Hz, so we're not dealing with subwoofer level frequencies here. I never liked polyfil.I always use owens corning pink insulation.There is a point where too much does hinder aborbtion.Kal Rubinson is right.I plan on using Owens corning on my flagship sub soon to be destoying my video room.We're talking a three hundred pounder (two of them).Stay tooned.

That's why I said to experiment with different amounts of stuffing. When you get to the "fully stuffed" point and then you "over stuff" you will reduce perceived volume. Liquid nails works and will hold it together so you can get your pilot holes drilled also. If it was me Id run the speaker without fill at first to see how it sounded before I stuffed the box. It is used as damping material and will reduce the internal reflections and standing waves resulting in less cabinet resonance. It might make the bass a bit deeper sounding.
