WebbTemplates allow you to build an image with your favorite settings, like a user account and maybe a ssh pub key in its home folder etc. I dont really use linked clones, I prefer full clones to avoid having to depend on a template for all my VMs to work. This guide goes into some detail about the benefits of linked clones.
